Fordham University is a private university boasting two undergraduate colleges–Rose Hill in the Bronx and Lincoln Center–and graduate schools of business, social work, education and law. The Campus

The Community

Our students are active within their community through public service work, pro bono services and diversity initiatives.

Fordham Law’s Moot Court Board offers first-year students an introduction to brief writing and argument in a mandatory class, with many continuing their involvement through voluntary participation throughout their law school career. If interested in practicing appellate level litigation, further sharpen your skills by participating in intramural competitions or national/international Moot Court circuit events.

Our Office of Student Affairs fosters an inclusive, vibrant, and diverse community through student-centric programs, academic counseling, mentoring and a robust career services program with one of the nation’s largest staffs offering guidance for JD students at any point in their studies or professional careers. Graduates may take advantage of a number of loan repayment assistance programs.

The Office of Student Affairs

Fordham Law’s Student Experience Office oversees every aspect of student life at Fordham Law, from student groups and competition teams to counseling services and academic support services. Additionally, this department coordinates events and programs such as orientation, international students initiatives, career programming diversity programs and professional development sessions.

The director serves as an essential liaison between students and administration. She collaborates closely with the assistant dean of student affairs and other senior staff to ensure students receive an all-around education that fosters both legal knowledge and personal development.

New York City is a global center of culture, entertainment and business, and our law school lies at its center. Students can easily walk to Lincoln Center – home of 11 resident arts organizations offering music performances, theater plays and films by some of the world’s most talented artists – where students can easily walk between performances or theater shows and film screenings. There are also many acclaimed restaurants nearby and Central Park is only two blocks from campus.
